This card fits in with Thursday's Ways to Use It Challenge at SCS which was to use birds.
I stamped the bird with Memento Rich Cocoa on Neenah Solar White and then colored him in with Copics. Then I cut him out and embossed him with a square Nestability and matted him on a Rose Red square and Tempting Turquoise square that were also cut out with Nestabilites. Then I covered him with my Quickie Glue Pen and used Doodlebug Crushed Velvet Flock on top of him. I love how soft and fuzzy he is! His eye kind of got lost under all the flocking so I added a dot of Cinnamon Stickles over his eye for a tiny bit of bling. The cardbase is Rose Red and the patterned paper is from BasicGrey's Euphoria line---I looooooooooooove this paper!!!!!! I mounted my focal image on dimensionals and ran a piece of Turquoise Grosgrain ribbon around the card. The sentiment is from my SAB rubons that I'm slowly using over time. Finally, I added some piercing around the edges of the focal piece to frame it even a little more.
Isn't this cute!!!! I never would have put these colors together but the patterned paper has some really cool colors in it and I think it actually works!
Thanks for visiting!
