Holiday Hoopla Blog Hop

If you are participating in the blog hop, you should have come from Kristine's  blog and if not, then you should start from the beginning with Karen's blog until you come to my blog.

Welcome to the Holiday Hoopla Blog Hop.  I'm joining some of my fellow A|Muse Studio Consultants this month and our theme is the holidays to celebrate the start of Holiday Hoopla.  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas cards and here's one to get you inspired.  All supplies used to make this card are from a|s unless stated and can be purchased from my webstore 24/7.  Please be sure to contact me directly if your order is $150 or more in order to receive hostess benefits.

Here are the details on the card.  I started out with a Kraft cardbase and added a piece of twas the night before christmas patterned paper along the bottom.  I also added a piece of Cherry Woodgrain paper because I wanted to keep this flat and easy to mail.  The reindeer is from Nordic Noel and is stamped with French Roast ink onto a piece of Vanilla cardstock which is matted with a piece of Wasabi cardstock.  I stamped the Noel with Cherry ink and then stamped the leaves with Wasabi ink onto a scrap piece of Vanilla, cut them out, and mounted them with 3-D foam adhesive onto the reindeer.  I finished him off with a little bit of liquid pearls (not available through a|s) for the nose and berries.  There you have it--a quick and easy Christmas Card that you can easily mass produce so you'll have time to enjoy the holidays with your friends and family.

Now on to your next stop Pamela's  blog. If you get lost here is the complete list:

Butterflies

I had a chance to play around the other day and this is what I came up with.  I wanted to use some items that are featured in May's Studio Spotlight for this card.  I started with a Papaya card base and stamped the Venetian Background stamp onto it with Bellini ink.  The butterflies from Papillion are stamped on a piece of Sugar cardstock with Papaya, Burano, and Bellini inks.  The sentiment is from Marvelous Marigolds and is stamped with Navy ink.  This piece is matted with Navy cardstock.  I added a few clear twinkle stickers that I'd colored with a Copic marker and then mounted it with 3d adhesive onto the card base.  I had a small die cut butterfly sitting on my desk and I decided to press it into my watermelon inkpad to change its color and covered it with Glossy Accents for some shine and dimension.  Once it dried, it added it near the sentiment with some 3d adhesive.  There you have it!

Remember, all supplies used to create this card can be purchased through my webstore.  If your order is $150 or more, please be sure to contact me directly in order to receive hostess benefits.

Studio Stampers February Blog Hop

Welcome to the Studio Stampers
February blog hop.  If you are joining us in the hop you should have
come from Karen who is starting out the hop.

Last month, I took an online card class called Clean and Simple Card Making which was taught by Kristina Werner, Julie Ebersole, and Jennifer McGuire.  My card is based on a sketch from the class that I fell in love with.  I'm also working on embracing the white space and trying out a white on white card and I'm really happy with my results. My original plan was to only have two layers but a little oopsie on my part after coloring in all the flowers resulted in my cutting them out and popping them up on another layer.

On to the details.  All supplies are from A Muse|Studio and can be purchased from my webstore.  Be sure to email me if your order is more than $150 so that you can receive hostess benefits.   I stamped the flowers from Floral Duet in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Sugar Cardstock and colored them in with a variety of yellow and orange Copic markers.  Unfortunately, I cleaned off my desk before I wrote down which markers but in all honesty, just pick the colors you like that blend well together.  The flowers are cut out and mounted with 3d adhesive onto a Sugar Piece that has a sentiment from Hand Scripted stamped onto it with Memento Tuxedo Black.  This piece is also mounted onto a Sugar Card with 3d foam adhesive.  I finished it off with some black twinkle sticker and there you have it.  A clean and simple card that packs a lot of punch.

Be sure to visit everyone on our hop so you don't miss out on some A Muse|Studio inspiration.

This is the line up
