This card is completely CASED from Beate. I fell in love with her version as soon as I saw it and knew that I had to make one myself. Dh saw me looking at hers when I was putting mine today and was a little surprised that I CASED it. My secret is out--he really thought I came up with all of my ideas on my own :-)
Here's the deets on my version of the card. I used Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, and Kraft for the card. I cut a rectangle out of a piece of acetate with a rectangle Nestability and used that as my mask when I sponged Whisper White craft ink onto the Kraft cardstock. I stamped the row of trees from Lovely as a Tree onto the sponged portion and then removed the mask. I inked up the tree in Kiwi Kiss and then colored the trunk with a Chocolate Chip marker and stamped it over the sponged portion. Then I paper pierced around the rectangle and stamped the sentiment from So Many Sayings in Riding Hood Red. I attached a jumbo Antique Brass eyelet to the card over a punched Riding Hood Red circle and then tied some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon through the eyelet. The Kraft piece is mounted to the card on dimensionals.
I must say, this is my absolute favorite Christmas card that I made this year. Even though it wasn't my original idea, it blows me away that I made a card that looks like this :-)
